A Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) solution allows the customer to pay for all Duties & Taxes upfront when making a purchase.
The alternative solution is Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) where the customer will be required to pay for the Duties & Taxes upon delivery. This can result in packages being returned (at the cost of the business) and customers may not return to your business as they no longer trust that they are paying the full cost.
Using a DDP solution means a business can provide their customers with the full cost of a transaction up front, allowing them to make an informed decision about whether a purchase is right for them.
Cost transparency is key in providing a positive customer experience.
